I love Appleton for its parades. Our Memorial Day Parade is a great tradition, giving many marching bands in the area a chance to show off, and giving the community a chance to recognize the heroes who have fought for our freedoms. Here are a few images from the May 28, 2007 Memorial Day Parade along College Avenue on a beautiful Saturday morning. (One of my sons is featured in the second photo with the Appleton East High School Patriots.) Some of our local Hmong military volunteers are shown in a couple of the photos also.
