The Wall Street Journal had a front page article this week about fake towns, the new zones being created in many towns to simulate a clean, healthy small town downtown environment, with restaurants, entertainment, interesting shops, easy access, and high levels of safety. From my point of view, these fake towns are attempts to create what we in Appleton almost take for granted in our community.
