Arthur Bay Cheese Company: Great Place for Premium Wisconsin Cheese
Arthur Bay Cheese Company is the newest cheese outlet in town and perhaps the best place to shop for great Wisconsin cheese outside of Simon's Cheese out in Little Chute. They feature a wide variety of high-end Wisconsin cheeses such as the artisan cheeses of Carr Valley Cheese. Carr Valley Cheese is one of the state's finest cheese producers and a consistent winner in national contests. A few years ago we even planned a family vacation around a visit to their cheese factory in LaValle, Wisconsin, where I was introduced to the fabulous flavor of Grand Canabria cheese. You can find that at Arthur Bay Cheese Company along with several other variety from Carr.
Some of the high-end cheese are expensive ($13 to $20 a pound), but they also have some great buys, like Provolone for $2.99 a pound and a 5-year cheddar for $4.99 - an amazing price.
Arthur Bay Cheese Company is in the south side of town at 237 East Calumet St., Appleton, in the building that used to house Manderfield's Bakery. The tradition of delicious treasures at that location lives on.

Continued kudos to ABCC. I was born and raised in Appleton and still return to visit extended family in the area. I'm also a former employee of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection who worked with dairy plants.
I'm glad that I have a place to satisfy my WI cheese yearnings without trying to retrace my former steps to all the little plants and shops dotting WI's landscape.
I'm glad to see the selection of WI non-cheese products as well!

I hope this is the same cheese company that brings their delicious cheese curds to the Waukesha Farmers Market, if so they are the freshest I have had. No longer do I have to travel to Madison to get the best curds! (String cheese and cheese whips are also excellent!)
Thanks!
Thanks!
ABCC is amazing. The cheese curds are amazingly fresh, I can almost taste the cow still on them. Very polite people
A very pleasant woman was giving samples of Arthur Bay cheese curds, strings, sharp cheddar in our Dillonvale IGA here in Cincinnati, Ohio on Friday, December 10. Best cheese we've ever had! Conversation was great, too. Thanks so much for visiting our neighborhood and stocking your delicious products.
