I love old barns! :o)

I grew up on a hobby farm (we had chickens, goats, pigs and cows - all at various times) in SE Wisconsin, just about an hour from the Fox Cities. It was a great place to grow up, and having a barn and silo was just the icing on the cake! Granted, we never really made use of the barn and silo like a real farmer would, but we enjoyed them nonetheless. I remember gazing up into the ceiling of the barn, thinking this must have been what Noah's ark looked like on the inside!! Our barn looks something like picture #2 but it's located on a hill, so that you can take a sled up next to the silo and slide all the way down the back side of the barn hill! Many, many fun memories.

Just found your blog on Appleton, although we've been fans of your restaurant reviews for quite a while! We are moving to Kentucky soon, but I have bookmarked your site so I can keep up on Appleton news. :)
